I have always seen life from a more aesthetic perspective.  There are times when things for me just have a different appeal or a different color.  It is not so much the individual characteristics which I am able to visualize but rather the combination of colors, shapes and sizes that create the appeal in certain things.  Being able to appreciate these factors, it is only natural that I was drawn to graphic design at an early age.  The arts played such a big role in my life that my parents fondly say that I learned how to design even before I could walk.  Taking advantage of this interest and talent of mine, I have decided to embark on a career in graphic design and eventually start my own firm or get the chance to work on large scale projects that will set the standard for the industry.

The talent and desire that I have in graphic design has no value unless it is coupled with direction and training.  The curriculum of the San Francisco Art Institute provides the best combination of academic instruction and practical application.  I am confident that through my exposure in this school and the experience that I can gain from this course I will be able to not only improve my chances of landing a good job but also get the chance to develop my natural talent in this field.  The impressive roster of alumni as well as the number of renowned instructors at AI will surely be instrumental in the fulfillment of my dreams.

I understand, however, that the success of my education does not merely depend on my abilities and neither does it depend on the record of the school but rather on the devotion of the student.  I would like to state that I am willing to make the necessary sacrifices in order to make the most of this opportunity. At present, I have already begun changing my schedule in order to maximize the time that I can spend in pursuit of this education.  Furthermore, I have begun developing a study plan that not only takes into consideration the academic requirements but also the possible internships or extra-curricular study programs or exposure that I can get in this field.
